Hi, I'm Kane, a part-time math tutor specializing in intermediate mathematics and Trigonometry for high school students.
**My Teaching Approach and Methods**
My approach to teaching is to make mathematics easier to understand by breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind formulas and solutions rather than simply memorizing them. I encourage students to ask questions, work through practice problems, and learn from their mistakes so they can develop stronger problem-solving skills and confidence in mathematics.
**A Typical Lesson**
Each lesson begins by reviewing the student's current understanding and identifying the topics they find challenging. I then explain the concepts using clear examples, demonstrate how to solve problems step by step, and guide the student through practice exercises. We finish by reviewing the lesson, addressing any remaining questions, and identifying areas that need further practice.
**What Sets Me Apart**
I combine my educational background in BSED Biology with my experience teaching students in person. I understand that students learn at different paces, so I aim to be patient, approachable, and adaptable in my teaching. My goal is not just to help students get the correct answers, but to help them understand the process and become more independent learners.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are intended primarily for high school students who need additional support in mathematics, particularly intermediate math and Trigonometry.
Whether you're struggling with sine, cosine, tangent, trigonometric identities, or solving equations, I can help you strengthen your understanding, practice problem-solving techniques, and prepare for quizzes, exams, and classroom activities.
My goal is to make math less intimidating and help every student build the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
