About Hema
Ever since I was little, I knew how important it was to communicate. I was a very quiet child and I often wished I was louder so that I could express myself better, and then people would hear what I had to say. That's why I am so passionate about helping children find their voice. Communication leads to connection, and I make it my mission to help build this bond between children and their community, starting with their ability to talk and express themselves at home.

I believe that learning should be fun! Through my years of experience, I combine interactive games, books and sensory activities to make my sessions a holistic learning environment. Children need to be motivated to communicate, which is why I ensure that activities align with their interests. We celebrate each achievement with joy and enthusiasm! I also encourage parents to be a huge part of the therapy process since parents are the main communication partners of the child at home. Online sessions typically range from 30-45 minutes depending on the age of the child, their attention span and speech/language issues. I try to keep online therapy sessions as interactive as possible, and request a parent or caregiver to be present to help out younger children. I have almost 10 years of experience as a speech therapist, and I specialize in working with early intervention. I love working with children from birth all the way up to 16 years old! I also have additional training in Hanen More Than Words, InsideOut sensory training, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, SOS Feeding Therapy, and usage of Augmentative and Alternative Communication Systems (AAC).
