About Piper

I am a Physics tutor with over 3+ years of experience and hold an MPhil in Physics. My teaching is shaped by a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, where physics becomes a bridge to understanding art and cultural heritage. I specialize in exploring how light interacts with pigments, how materials age over time, and how scientific methods reveal hidden layers of masterpieces. Much of my work focuses on the physics of art restoration and conservation science. I guide students in examining the physical properties of materials used in paintings, sculptures, and artifacts. Using principles of non-destructive testing, I show how techniques such as spectroscopy and imaging can uncover details without harming the artwork. I often integrate art historical examples into my lessons, bringing to life how science and culture intersect. Students learn not only the theory but also the stories of artists, materials, and the evolution of techniques across centuries. This creates a learning experience that is both intellectually engaging and culturally enriching. Over the years, I have worked with art history students, conservationists, and anyone curious about the science behind cultural treasures. I adapt my methodology to the needs of learners, whether they are focused on technical applications or broader conceptual insights. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Physics is centered on building strong conceptual understanding and connecting theory to real-world applications. I guide students through core areas such as Newtonian mechanics, forces and motion, energy conservation, and the laws that shape the physical world. Each concept is introduced step by step and reinforced with practical examples, ensuring clarity and confidence in problem-solving.

I believe that Physics is best learned through active engagement. That’s why I use thought-provoking questions, relatable demonstrations, and real-life scenarios to bring abstract ideas to life. Students are encouraged to apply principles to solve practical problems, making the learning process interactive and meaningful.

Alongside Physics, I also provide support in related areas like thermodynamics, waves, electromagnetism, and introductory modern physics. This helps students gain a broader and connected view of science. My methodology adapts to different learning styles, whether someone learns best through visual aids, worked-out examples, or hands-on exercises.

I excel at guiding both analytical thinkers and creative learners, offering strategies that fit their way of understanding. With clear explanations and consistent practice, I help them build confidence in tackling exams, assignments, and practical challenges.
