About Isla
During my 10 years of piano instruction, I have supported Beginners and Adult Learners through engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, discipline, and creativity. Watching students reach personal milestones continues to inspire my dedication to quality music education.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes balanced musicianship by developing coordination, rhythmic awareness, music reading, technical precision, expressive playing, and confident performance. Practical explanations make challenging concepts approachable while encouraging students to progress with enthusiasm.

Lessons are organized to develop strong piano foundations through progressive exercises, guided demonstrations, and enjoyable repertoire. Students improve naturally as each concept connects with previous learning, creating confidence and technical consistency throughout every stage of development.
Students practice finger independence, keyboard navigation, scales, chord voicings, rhythm exercises, notation reading, pedaling techniques, accompaniment styles, improvisation, and expressive performance. Practical application transforms theoretical understanding into confident and accurate piano playing.
Regular feedback, individualized assignments, and carefully structured practice plans reinforce classroom learning effectively. Continuous progress monitoring helps students strengthen weaker skills, celebrate improvements, and develop disciplined habits that support lifelong musical growth.
