My tutoring sessions are student-centred, structured, and responsive. I begin by identifying each child’s strengths, learning gaps, and preferred learning style. Lessons are tailored to target specific goals—whether it’s building confidence, reinforcing classroom learning, or extending gifted learners.
I use a hands-on, multi-sensory approach that incorporates visual, verbal and kinaesthetic strategies to support all types of learners.
• My sessions often include explicit instruction, followed by guided practice and independent tasks.
• I integrate formative assessment to track progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• I embed growth mindset principles to build confidence and resilience in learners.
Typical lessons run for 45–60 minutes, for primary school aged students and is dependant on the age and attention span of the student. Each session includes a warm-up activity, focused skill work, and a brief reflection to consolidate learning.
