About Agne

I am an experienced educator and private tutor with a strong background in primary education, Early Years and SEN. I hold a BA in English Philology and have worked with children across schools, nurseries and one-to-one settings.
Throughout my career, I have supported children with a wide range of needs, including dyslexia, autism, ADHD and speech and language difficulties. This experience has taught me that every child is capable of learning, but not every child learns in the same way.
I became particularly passionate about one-to-one tutoring because it gives me the freedom to understand the individual child and adapt my teaching to them. I love seeing a child who initially says “I can't do it” gradually become more confident, curious and willing to try.
I am patient, creative and encouraging, and building a positive relationship with each child is at the heart of my teaching. For me, tutoring isn't only about improving academic results — it's about helping children rediscover confidence in themselves as learners.

About the lesson

I believe children learn best when they feel safe, confident and genuinely engaged. My lessons are personalised around each child’s needs, interests and learning style rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
I specialise in supporting primary-aged children, including those with SEN, dyslexia, ADHD, autism and speech and language needs. I use multisensory, phonics-based and play-based approaches, incorporating movement, sensory activities and practical resources to make learning meaningful and enjoyable.
I particularly enjoy working with children who may be reluctant learners or who have lost confidence in the classroom. I work at the child’s pace, celebrate small successes and gradually build independence and confidence alongside their academic skills.
Lessons can support phonics, reading, writing, literacy and primary maths, with activities adapted to the individual child. My aim is for children to leave each session feeling successful, understood and more confident in their ability to learn.
