About Maggi

I am an experienced fully qualified tutor with many years of teaching behind me. I enjoy thinking out of the box and seeing my students accomplish their goals and objectives. I am very patient and try to ensure that all my students leave my sessions with new knowledge and the confidence to apply it.

About the lesson

I hold a BSc hons degree and a PGCE in teaching in Further Education. I have been teaching for over twenty years and have acquired brilliant results over the years with my learners. My teaching methods are very relaxed, informal and student-centred. I like my sessions to be very visual and interactive. My lessons are usually 1 hour in length and I usually teach from the ages of 16+. I do teach A-level students preparing for uni and also adult returners functional English skills.

Perfect! Fun teacher and lovely personality
I am learning the piano as an adult and i really am making progress with Maggi's help. She is so enthusiastic with a real love for music. Every lesson we do something different and she gives so much of her time to me by providing homework to help me progress. She observes my learning closely so she is able adapt each lesson to what is most suitable for me. It seems as if this isn't just a job for her, its a passion.
I cant recommend her enough.

I was able to complete my level 4 NVQ qualification with the support of Maggi.
I had not embarked on any educational pursuits in years and having dyslexia, I thought this would make learning and completing the course harder.

With Maggi as my tutor I was able to understand the questions asked, complete the course with more ease and actually contribute when in class; as I had a better understanding.
