About Maricille

I am a passionate and experienced math teacher dedicated to making learning engaging and effective. With twelve years of experience teaching math to students from middle school through high school, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus, I have developed a teaching approach that is tailored to each student's unique needs and aspirations.

About the lesson

My teaching method is student-centered and adaptable. I believe that every student has their own learning style and pace. As a result, I customize my approach to match the specific needs of each student. I combine the traditional principles of teaching with modern, interactive online tools to create a dynamic and immersive learning experience. I firmly believe in making complex math concepts accessible. I excel in breaking down intricate problems into simple, understandable parts, providing students with the building blocks they need to tackle more advanced topics. My emphasis is not just on rote memorization but on fostering a deep understanding of mathematical principles, ensuring that students can apply what they learn to real-world problem-solving.

A typical lesson with me begins with understanding the student's current knowledge and learning goals. I often start with a brief review to ensure a strong foundation. We then proceed to the lesson's core topic, and I guide the student through the concept step-by-step. I encourage questions and discussions throughout the session to ensure a clear understanding. Throughout each lesson, I regularly employ formative assessment techniques to gauge the student's comprehension and progress during the lesson. This helps both the student and me track their mastery of the concepts and identify areas that may require further attention.
