I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, specializing in Voice. I love helping students prepare for auditions, competitions, and stage performances with confidence and skill. My teaching covers a range of styles, including Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theater. I focus on essential skills like diction, range development, and vocal agility to help each student find their unique sound. Choosing the right repertoire is a key part of my approach, tailored to match your voice and goals. Dramatic interpretation is also important — I help students connect emotionally with their songs to bring performances to life. I’ve worked with school students, drama majors, and adults returning to music after a break. This experience allows me to adapt lessons for different ages and skill levels. My goal is to build strong vocal technique, stage presence, and artistry in every student. Whether you’re stepping onto the stage for the first time or aiming to refine your craft, I’m here to support your journey. Together, we’ll develop your voice and help you shine. The Music Major benefits from exploring diverse genres to showcase versatility and technical skill, while the Suzuki Student thrives by choosing pieces that align with their current vocal tone and development stage. Together, we work on matching vocal tone to the song’s mood, emphasizing controlled dynamics to add emotional depth and professionalism.
To build vocal agility, I introduce targeted exercises that improve flexibility and control, essential for navigating complex passages and varying styles. Mock auditions play a key role, helping students gain confidence and receive constructive feedback in a safe setting. Both types of learners improve their performance presence and vocal stamina, preparing them to excel under pressure.
I recommend using modern tools like backing track apps to simulate real performance conditions, lyric trainers to master memorization, and pitch analyzers to ensure accurate intonation. These resources help track progress and keep practice engaging. Ultimately, this approach helps each student grow their unique voice while developing the skills needed for successful auditions and a polished portfolio.
