About Juan
I am a passionate and dedicated Spanish teacher with a strong background in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I hold postgraduate qualifications in both general teaching and the teaching of Spanish. I love teaching because I am genuinely passionate about Spanish. It's amazing to see students progress and improve their language skills. My lessons are supportive, practical, and focused on helping you feel confident using the language, and thus building your language skills. I take a student-centred approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the learner's needs and goals. My methodology focuses on practising the target language in a real setting. Thus, students can build both accuracy and confidence in real communication. My lessons are suitable for all levels and ages: from beginners learning Spanish for the first time to adults who want to improve their conversation skills. A typical lesson lasts 30 minutes, though I can adapt this depending on the student’s preferences and focus. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, which have given me a strong foundation in language pedagogy. I also have experience teaching GCSE Spanish students, with proven success in boosting accuracy and performance. In terms of rates and times: a 30 minute class is 15£. A 1 hour class would be 25£.
