About Maureen
My name is maureen, a native Swahili speaker born and raised in Nairobi. I grew up speaking Swahili at home, school and in the streets, so I know how locals really speak.
I love teaching because I love seeing my students surprise Kenyans when they speak Swahili. I am patient, friendly, and I make learning fun and easy. I want to help you speak Swahili with confidence and enjoy East African culture. Asante.

Jambo! I'm a native Swahili speaker from Nairobi with a simple, friendly way of teaching.
My lessons focus on real conversation, not just grammar. From day one, you will learn how to greet, bargain at the market, talk to boda riders, and chat with friends like a local.
I teach beginners, travelers moving to Kenya, and people who want to connect with East African culture. I explain everything in clear English, with lots of practice, corrections, and fun examples. Karibu sana!
