About Michelle

I am passionate about helping all learners do their best and believe that learning should be a positive and encouraging experience. I support students by setting clear, achievable goals, breaking learning into manageable steps, and helping them grow in confidence and independence. Through positive encouragement, regular feedback, and celebrating progress, I help learners feel motivated, capable, and proud of what they can achieve

About the lesson

Every lesson is personalised to your child’s needs and focuses on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and spelling using a structured literacy approach. Lessons are hands-on, engaging, and designed to suit different learning styles. Sessions are usually one hour, depending on what works best for the learner.

I am an experienced primary school teacher and tutor with over 25 years of teaching experience. I have worked with children aged 5–14 years, as well as adults learning English (ESOL), supporting pronunciation, vocabulary development, and conversational confidence. I take time to get to know each learner and design a clear, supportive programme to meet their individual needs.

For parents whose children may be finding learning challenging, please be reassured that I place a strong emphasis on building confidence, reducing anxiety, and celebrating progress. I focus on learners’ strengths, keep sessions positive and encouraging, and work hard to ensure students feel supported, capable, and motivated to succeed.
