About Michael

I’m a passionate and supportive English teacher who enjoys helping learners build both their language skills and their confidence. I believe the best learning happens when students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and expressing themselves, so I aim to create a friendly, patient and encouraging environment in every lesson.

Having lived abroad and studied foreign languages myself, I understand the challenges of learning another language and the difference a good teacher can make. I adapt my lessons to each learner’s needs, interests and goals, and I always try to make English practical, engaging and relevant to real life.

I’m passionate about language, music, history and sport, and I love getting to know my students and using their interests to create lessons that they genuinely enjoy. Most importantly, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling that they have learned something useful and are a little more confident using English.

About the lesson

Every student is different, so I tailor my lessons around your individual goals, interests and level of English. Whether you want to improve your speaking, build your vocabulary, work on pronunciation or simply become more confident using English, we will focus on what will be most useful for you.

A typical lesson might include:

Warm-up & conversation – We’ll start with some relaxed conversation to practise speaking and get you comfortable using English.

Focus for the lesson – We’ll work on a specific area of English, such as vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation or a particular communication skill.

Practical practice – You’ll have plenty of opportunities to use what you’ve learned through conversation, role-plays, activities and real-life situations.

Feedback & correction – I’ll give you helpful, constructive feedback throughout the lesson and highlight areas where you can improve.

Review & next steps – We’ll finish by reviewing what you’ve learned and identifying what to work on next.

Lessons are one hour long, and I provide written feedback after every session, including useful vocabulary, corrections and suggestions for further practice.
