About Nhi
Hi, I’m Julie (Nhi) Pham, an English tutor with a passion for language teaching and learning. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Applied Linguistics at Flinders University, where I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA, and I hold an IELTS score of 8.0. I want to teach because I know how challenging learning a new language can be—I’ve been through that journey myself. My goal is to help students feel more confident using English in real-life situations, whether for exams, academic purposes, or everyday communication. I take a learner-centered, interactive approach, meaning I tailor lessons to each student’s needs and make learning as engaging and practical as possible. More than just teaching English, I want to create a supportive learning space where students feel encouraged to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow at their own pace. If you're looking for a tutor who will guide you patiently and help you achieve your goals, I’d love to be part of your journey. As a tutor, I prefer a learner-centered and communicative approach to ensure students actively engage with the language in a meaningful way. I always try to make my lessons highly interactive, incorporating real-life scenarios, discussions, and task-based learning to develop students’ language skills effectively. I focus on building confidence and fluency through guided practice, feedback, and strategies tailored to each student's needs.

Each session typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing ample time for skill development, targeted practice, and personalized feedback. I structure lessons to include warm-up activities, skill-focused exercises (reading, writing, listening, speaking), and review sessions to reinforce learning outcomes.
- Qualifications & Experience
I have an IELTS score of 8.0 and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Languages, majoring in Applied Linguistics at Flinders University, with a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0. My experience includes tutoring high school students preparing for IELTS and teaching English to diverse learners, including adult migrants and young students.
My expertise in language assessment, curriculum design, and student engagement strategies enables me to create effective, tailored lessons that help students achieve their learning goals.
