About Angela
I help students build confidence in themselves and to find what makes them unique and special. I will inspire my students to believe in themselves as I teach them how to use their imaginations through acting. It is my hope that all children find the magic that theatre can bring to their life and to help them believe that anything is possible if they set their mind to it. My students will gain a sense of self and find what they are passionate about.
I have a degree in Theatre and I have been an actor since I was 10 years old. I am 29 and have been teaching theatre since I was just 14 years old. My experience as an actor helps my to connect with my students and understand the actor's point of view.
I have 4 years of Children's Theatre directing as well as 2 years of work at a private acting studio.
I got started when I was just a teenager. I began as a counselor at a theatre summer camp and I taught and directed the shows.
I have a Bacherlor of Arts in Theatre Performance from Northern Arizona University.
I have directed nearly 25 Children's Theatre Musicals.
I worked at a private studio where I acted as the acting coach for two years.

My first lesson will act as an assessment. I want to learn about the student and what their hopes and goals are for their lessons with me. I adapt all of my lessons for what the student is wanting to learn. We would also play some fun, ice-breaker acting games so they can start to feel comfortable with me. This is very important. I want to build a strong relationship with my students. Being an actor can be very vulnerable, so I want to build a strong level of trust right from my first impression. I want them to feel comfortable with me so they have the freedom to be themselves.
I have worked with all youth ages. As young as three and as old as 19.
Find someone that you trust, that you feel that will give you the experience and education that you are desiring. Ask questions and make sure that your teacher is clear on what you are looking for. My goal is to make my students happy and fulfilled at the end of every lesson.
