About Morgan

I am a current college student-athlete. I am majoring in Physical Education K-12, so I can manage every age! I am also minoring in coaching, special education, and getting my health endorsement. In high school, I was a tutor for IB History, College English, Health, and Algebra. I have tutored since freshman year in high school and am also a basketball coach. I know time commitment can be difficult and I am happy to help with study tips, test taking tips and more:)

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in elementary school. But my choice was solidified in middle school when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. My basketball coach/health teacher was like my second father during this time. I couldn't do it without him. I am so grateful my mom beat cancer. I wanted to become a teacher and a coach to have an impact on a student's life like my teacher did on mine.

I have been a summer camp counselor for two years now working with 5-11-year-olds. This experience gives me elementary experience and has also given me some tutoring opportunities as well. Also, I shadowed a middle school P.E. teacher and taught lessons in Physical Education and Health as well. These experiences of mine have taught me to get to know my students and understand who they are and how they learn.

About the lesson

I like to get to know my students first. This will help me connect lessons to what they enjoy and understand as well. This can range from sports to music, to hobbies, to really anything I can use to enhance the kids' learning!

I have worked with ages from 5-to 17 years old. I have also tutored and coached students with disabilities. I have a wide variety of experience that allows me to accommodate and understand how to best help the student.

My advice to a student looking to hire a teacher is to make sure that the teacher is personable and gives you what you need.
