About Anna

I have a genuine passion for teaching and helping young people feel more confident in their education.

I understand the value of tutoring from personal experience. When I was in school, having a tutor helped me immensely. It gave me a space to ask questions that I didn’t always feel able to ask in the classroom, go over topics at my own pace and make sure I never felt left behind. Most importantly, it helped me stay on track and become more confident in my own abilities.

That experience is a big part of why I enjoy tutoring today. Teaching is something I enjoy, and I find it rewarding to see a student go from struggling with something to finally having that moment where it makes sense.

Through my experience tutoring children and young people, including those with SEND, I have learnt the importance of patience, encouragement and adapting to the individual. I want my students to know that there is never a “silly” question in my lessons and that they have a space where they can learn, make mistakes and grow in confidence.

About the lesson

I believe tutoring works best when students feel comfortable, understood and confident enough to ask questions. Every student learns differently, so I take time to understand their individual needs and adapt my lessons to their pace, learning style and goals.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes but can be adapted, particularly for younger learners or students who benefit from regular breaks.

I am a First-Class graduate with tutoring experience, including one-to-one work with children and young people with SEND. I offer Maths secondary students up to GCSE level.

My lessons combine clear explanations, examples, practice questions and activities to keep students engaged. I encourage students to think through problems independently, while providing support when needed. If something isn’t clicking, I’m always happy to explain it differently until we find an approach that works.

Whether it’s catching up, exam preparation or simply building confidence, my aim is to make learning feel achievable and help students become more confident and independent learners.
