About Craig

My name is Craig Stem. In 2011, I was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers. I have been a professional pitcher for 10 years now. I have over 800 professional innings and have pitched in every role from starter, to set up man, to closer. I have a passion for passing my knowledge down to the next generation. I love working with young pitchers and watching them progress and using baseball to achieve their goals of getting college scholarships

Watching a young player progress is one of the most rewarding feelings I've ever felt. I genuinely get excited when we are working on something and it begins to "click" and you see them become a better ball player. Baseball has been great to me. It paid for my college, it earned me my first big paycheck. I want other kids to feel this as well

As a way to make extra money when I was a poor minor leaguer. It developed into a passion that I really enjoy

10 years (and counting) as a professional pitcher

About the lesson

The first lesson starts with a conversation about what the students' specific goals are and why they want pitching lessons. Then I will watch them throw and evaluate areas that need improvement. We will get into drills and discussion to improve mechanics immediately.

Pitchers of all skill levels from ages 8-25

Find the most experienced professional possible. Have a discussion about your goals and make sure that teacher knows HOW to achieve that goal. For example, if you are a talented high school pitcher who is looking to get their fastball velocity up to 90 mph, seek out an instructor who has thrown 90 mph and knows how to teach it. Or if you want to learn how to pitch sidearm, go to someone who has experience in that area. There are a lot of instructors out there who know how to teach pitching mechanics, but they may lack the expertise to help you achieve one specific goal.

Spring training is one of my favorite times of the year. I love checking out the atmosphere in Florida or Arizona

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Your areas you want to improve on and what your goals are for the short and long term in regards to baseball
