About Odie
If your reading this I’m Proud of you. You are taking steps to achieve growing In a sport you love. My name is Coach Odie and I specialize In attitude, commitment, passion and skills training. The first step in anything in life starts in your mental game. Many players never learn to control their feelings and thoughts or do the right drills to correct or improve their motions and talk themselves into quiting or not believing in themselves. If you are close minded and negative this is where you stop reading. I’m wanting to work with players that have the want to and/or the confidence to grow on and off the field/court.
I have been head coaching for 7 years now. I found my love of Coaching and teaching when my 10 year old started playing baseball/basketball at my Alma matter in the city of Clay. I have a proven record at leading our youth. I have coached on different age groups and even volunteered my time to coach for Hayden’s 13-15U rec league just because they needed a coach and I love the game. I come with many great references and have a proven winning record on and off the field.
When I’m not training athletes. I’m a state licensed private investigator. I work a lot of family law and it breaks my heart to see our youth not have guidance or people to believe In them.

My enjoyment comes when a kid makes a play or executes a drill after not being able to perform it accurately.
I also grew up with no one believing in me or working with me and my direction in sports was washed down the drain. I’m a smart and great athlete and believe I could have done big things if my Coaches would have believed in me. I don’t want to see any more kids wake up one day saying “ I wish” or if I would have done this different.

I started from scratch in tball in 2013. I coached two seasons and then moved up to coach pitch. After a few seasons of coach pitch I applied to be a travel ball Coach.
I have poured hours and hours, miles and my heart into coaching. I've learned a lot and watch Sports all the time. My sports IQ is very strong.

New students in my opinion are the best to work with. I ask for the parents to retreat away from the field. I don't mind them watching but I don't like having the parents in the vision of the player. They focus to much on making Mom or Dad happy and if they make a error they look straight to the stands for thier parents. The mental game of a player is where it all starts. I start with Mental Preparation. I build up my players before I even let them walk on the field. im not a soft or hard coach. I'm a motivator but if you bring any bad attitudes I will cut practice. You have to Want to be there and not be there Cause Mom or Dad want you there.
