About Merve

Hello there! My name is Merve and I'm a graduate of Fordham University with a BS in Biological Sciences and Philosophy. Being passionate about the sciences, I've spent a lot of my time practing the art of explanation and the skillset necessary to teach it to others, especially younger students! I take pride in combining personality and approach in each of my sessions, including patience, communication, and constant assessment of a student's strengths/weaknesses in order to create the best environment for success.

I have a total of 2 years experience tutoring Biology for Grades 1-8, including Teacher's Assistant experience for First Grade. With this experience, I can gaurentee a thought-provoking session that leaves students eager to continue their quest for knowledge!

Here's a look at some of the services I provide, and remeber that everything is customiable to our student's needs:

Homework Assistance - Exam Preperation and Review - Supplemental Concept Explanation/Weekly Lesson Plan -- Practice Problem Solving - Topic Question and Answer -- Academic Advising/Future Planning - Etc.

I believe the navigation through scientific studies requires an indiviaulzied plan for each student, as-well as an understanding of how a student learns best. The combination of encouragement, utilization of academic sources, and This will be both my job and privledge, for nothing excites me more than a student's "a-ha!" moment!

By creating a safe and encouraging space, our 1-on-1 sessions will cultivate confidence in the student's academic abilities, while exceling in exam performance and homework completion.

No question will go unanswered and all teaching methods will utilize creativity, engaging resources, and long-term comprehension tehcniques to maximize retention.

Above all, a spark of enthusiam will ignite as our student develops a wonderful relationship with school work and knowlege-based curioisty.

Let's beign our eductional journey towards greatness!
