About Marina

Being a long-time student my entire life, I have established a passion for teaching. My backgroung includes a bachelor's degree in Psychology and then pursing a MD through medical school. I have experience teaching and educating a range of ages, from middle school through college students.

I have strong knowledge in the science disciplines, including biology and anatomy/physiology. My strong academic background has given me the tools to succeed and communicate well with others. I believe teaching should be done in an easy-to-understand, visually stimulating, and proactive manner.

I love engaging with students and building them up to succeed. Because I have gone through all the same struggles and ups-downs that most students have, and I know how they feel when a challenege feels like a road block. I enjoy sharing my background and knowledge that I have gained through my studies with others, and watching people succeed by motivating them to learn and be confidence in their own abilities.

Strong academic career that includes:

- Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree in Psychology, minor in Chemistry.

- Graduate doctorate degree (MD)

-Many years or tutoring science to youth through my college career

- Anatomy instructor and tutoring in medical school

-Strong history of classroom education and group presentations

About the lesson

With a new student, I will try to engage the student and learn about how the student processes information in the best way (visually, auditory, written, communication, etc). I will try to gage the strengths and weakness the student has in the subject. I also try to engage in trust and communcation with the student by stemming from my own experiences and building up the confidence and motivation in the student to be excited to learn and develop their knowledge to succeed.
