About Ivana

With 2 years of tutoring experience at The Ohio State University in the topics of Biology and Microbiology, I love nothing more than helping students achieve their goals and realize their potential! I work with students using relatable examples and explanations to break down topics into buildable pieces in order to learn through understanding and not just memorization.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my BS in Biology in Spring of 2020. I currently do research full time while applying to medical school--all while continuing my love of teaching! Feel free to learn more about me via my LinkedIn profile: (concealed information)

I enjoy seeing students build their confidence and improve their study skills in order to achieve their goals. Talking through tough topics is the best way to learn and standard classroom settings don't always allow these conversations to flow organically. I love having this time to work with students to talk about the topics and hopefully instill an interest in it along the way!

I was a tutor for Biology and Microbiolgy for 2 years through The Ohio State University. I got my BS in Biology in 2020 and plan on attending medical school. I do current research in Pulmonary Medicine and science is at the core of my interests and life.

About the lesson

I like to sit down and establish clear goals from the beginning. The power of establishing concrete goals is something I truly believe in and think it is a great place to start. I follow up with an extensive discussion about study skills and work to see if this is something we will need to work with a little more as well.

I specically worked with students in the past who were attending OSU in one of the many diversity scholars programs. I have thus worked with many first generation college students pursuing a career in medicine, dental, veterinary sciences, or nursing as well as those who may have come from underserved communities.

I charge $20 for a session which usually lasts an hour. I have found that one hour long session weekly gives enough time to review content while providing enough independent study work. I am always available via email for questions outside of the sesson time as well.
