About Kaitlyn

Hi there!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, but it wasn't always my passion! I spent much of high school dreading the day I had to take chemistry, and hated every day that I was enrolled in it. It was not until I entered college that I truly discovered my passion for the sciences. This gives me a unique advantage to some other tutors out there because I can truly empathize with my clients who hate or do not understand chemistry. As for math, I have always enjoyed the subject. Despite the fact that I did not major in math in college, I found it to be a very fascinating subject. I love learning new ways to solve the same problem, and I believe this fuels my passion to find a way to explain challenging content matter to those who are having difficulty understanding the explanation given to them in the classroom or their textbook.

After having a really difficult time with chemistry in high school, I really wanted to be able to help students who are now in that situation.

About the lesson

High school and college, though my specialty is mainly in high school and 100 level college chemistry and math. I have worked with all ages of students with varying degrees of academic accomodations.

I would say do it! I know there is often a stigma that comes along with having a tutor, but there is nothing wrong with needing one. Everyone needs a little help sometimes!

I have recently moved to a sunnier climate and I really enjoy being outside doing anything - hiking, biking, running, photography...you name it!
