About Joseph

I have been exposed to a lot of Chemistry. I have a master's degree in chemistry (2019). I took chemistry courses in my Bachelor's and master's and thoroughly enjoyed them. I have taught for 34 months in high school, undergraduate chemistry, and master's chemistry. I feel confident and excited to teach Chemistry spanning from high school to university level. I enjoy sharing knowledge because with knowledge comes power. Let's nail Chemistry. Together we excel!

I enjoy preparing for classes, sharing knowledge and evaluating students. It's usually satisfying to see students grow with every class I teach. Over the last three year my student's performance has raged as shown:

I was the best in my former high school as such the school board agreed to take me in as a teaching assistant in chemistry and mathematics. I taught chemistry and mathematics for one year before joining University for my bachelor's.

I have;

Master's degree in chemistry (2019)-GPA 3.80

Bachelors degree in chemistry (2015)-GPA 3.50

Training:

I have taught Chemistry and Mathematics in high school for 20 months.

I have also tauught for 14 months in the University.

About the lesson

Our first lesson is centered around finding out what the student already knows, and where the holes are in their chemistry knowledge so I can determine what to focus on. We also speak about the student’s goals, and then figure out the best way to proceed.

I have worked with both high school students and university students. At the University level I have worked with both bachelor's and maste'rs students.

As long as you can your invest time, resources and attention, I can assure you of three things;

1) Detained explanations that are easy to understand.

2) A lot of assignments tailored to test your understanding (Formatted to give you the taste of the final exam)

3) Best grade based on the student ability. Improvement is not something I try to do. It's a must as long as you book me as yout tutor.

Most of my students score 75% and above. Try me and get you excellent grade!

Reminscing how I helped a high school student whose average score was 30% achieve 83% in her final exam, gives me joy and contentment.

Also, being able to help students understant complex chemistry concepts such as reaction mechanisms and thermodynamics. Last year I helped a bachelor's student score an A (93%) in their final term grade from 57% also makes me proud.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ask questions based on their needs. A certain student might not have understood the idea of halogenation. Another student may have understood halogenation but doesnt know what is acylation. These students should seek help from their tutors based on what they have not understood.
