About Jason
I am a passionate and experienced learner who has dealt with (both personally and professionally) with overcoming ADHD, ADD, OCD, Anxiety, Depressive blocks to learning in my students.
If it's anything that you should know about me, it's that I feel learning can be accessible for all of. The wealth of excuses we all have made up (at one time or another) to get out of studying is proof enough that ALL of us have a well of potential inside of us!
I believe that I can help my students tackle individual subjects, while also providing scientifically tested study strategems that come from decades of neuroscience and psychology research.
I was usually helpful to other students during labs. My professory noticed my efforts and suggested I become a TA. The rest is history.
I have a B.A. in Computer Science from Connecticut College; during my academic career their I was a TA for the Computer Science for 3 years, during which I facilitated labs, provided 1-on-1 TA sessions, and provided help with homework.

I start with their notes. A students notes are the core of study strategem and I want to see if I can make it easier, breazier, and more fun to study.
College and highschool students.
Your teacher isn't worth the money if they can't provide you insight that helps you study more faster. Anyone can just parrot the material in simple terms given the right amount of time. A good teacher goes beyong and teaches you the meta of learning that empowers and emboldens you as a student.
Snow fell for the first time in home county. It's my first time seeing snow in quite a while since moving home.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Where is there a material weakness in your abiity? (example: Do you find it hard to recall information you just read? Do you feel you can't contextualize information easily?) You need to be able to speak about your learning in grounded terms that mean something.
What do you want out of learning? (The fact is most students don't know what they want to do; and that is FINE. What you need to find out immediately--if you don't know already--is what you want out of your education. Do you want to become an encyclopedia of information? Do you want to handle written work with expert tact? Do you want a clearheaded to approach to tackling just what you need to? Do you want to work with your hands and have grounded immediate skills? Education truly is what you make of it; and you need to know what you want out of it to set that goal.)

Details
I offer lessons on a sliding scale depending on student needs. On average, lessons are $35 for the initial hour, and $25 for each additional hour. Costs will also vary depending on the intensity of tutoring/subject work.
