About Yusuf

Coding is my passion and I love to teach coding. I have field experience from companies like PayPal and Uber and that helps to understand the need of the real world.

I currently work for Uber as a software engineer. Have done many cool projects.

I first started when I was back in Turkey. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in science. I used to teach science classes to middle school students.

Also in America, I voluntarily used to teach coding lessons to elementary school students.

I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Database and Data Analytics. I then found my passion in software engineering. I started my journey in a startup company and then worked for PayPal. The company that I currently work for is Uber which is one of the leading companies in the tech industry.

Besides that, I have a year of tutoring experience. I used to teach elementary school students in an Indian Cultural center and enjoyed my time there.

About the lesson

The first thing to do before starting to teach is to get to know the student. That covers 50% of the process and the rest is shaped based on the student. How student can focus and learn? I mostly prefer to teach by doing. Also teaching from the experience is one of the most effective ways to grab students' attention and I have loads of experience to share.

Mostly elementary and middle school students.

Experience should be considered because learning from experience makes it easier to adapt to the real world and to see the mistakes beforehand.

I have been working on a project that is used in Uber. IT excites me that it will be used by millions of users. Another thing that I like about it is that it uses React.js and I love to work with React.js.
