About David
I have my masters in computer science. While pursuing my masters I worked as a Graduate Assistant. My primary responsiblity as a GA was to serve as a tutor to undergraduate students. I have experience teaching Computer Science from the most basic level to more advanced topics.

With a new students I would first ask a few questions about their currently level of understanding, as well as what does the students want to achieve through the tutoring. Once I have determined what we should be working towards learning I would ask a few quiz type questions to make sure that the level of understanding is accurate, and proceed with creating an education plan from there.

What is it that they do understand about the material, and then what is it that they do not understand. That way the teacher can accurately know what needs to be focused on and where problems lie.
