About Carson
I provide personal tutoring to actually help the student learn to teach themselves and become independent. I will show free resources and set my student up on a track to success. Since programming is just a tool to solve problems, I will also provide problem solving skills any programmer must have.
Seeing the wonders of what software engineering and the knowledge of linux can do to make your and other's life efficient and easy, it is my goal to educate others to a point where they feel comfortable teaching themselves and diving deeper into the wonderful field of technology.
At my high school, I was one of the most requested and knowledgeable tutors to offer leading the way for my peers to receive and A in their classes along with helping them learn new things that they use outside of school.
I've taught myself many things over the past couple years related to computing like programming, using a unix environment, and knowledge of hardware. Using this knowledge, I have become more efficient with technology incorporating it into my daily life and make hard, time-consuming tasks easy and fast.
Not only will I educate students on the wonders of technology, I will provide my methods of teaching oneself to void the need of a tutor and make learning fun.
My only wish is to provide an environment where they feel like they can actually learn something new and fun that they use outside of the classroom to possibly kick off a career in software development.
Everyone starts somewhere.
Programming and knowledge of technology makes one's life efficient. When fully emersed in a unix environment with programming knowledge under my belt, I feel comftorable and at home when I touch my computer. I know what is going on and can change anything I want. I use this knowledge to complete trivial tasks in an efficient manner and not just for school. I cannot put in words how much tech knowledge will help one out no matter the age or profession.
I started teaching in my highschool years tutoring my peers. I eventually moved on to 1 on 1 lessons for my friends and classmates if needed.
I am studying software engeering in university. I have participated in many clubs such as CSHS (Computer Science Honor Society), Cyber Security Club, and SkillsUSA (programming competitions) to prepare me for any challenge ahead. I also have taught myself everything I know by making projects and collaborating with others to better myself.

At first I would actually like to know why the student wants to learn. Knowing the student's goals and passions would greatly help the teaching process. It would turn into my goal to set the student up to achieve whatever they want to acomplish.
I have worked with a variety of students from people with no experience whatsoever to people as experienced as me if not higher. With those sessions it turns into more of a collaboration than a tutoring process.
Try to catch onto the methods that the teacher is using to teach you. Once you learn these methods, teach yourself as this is the most important skill in the field of computer science. Don't settle for people that look way to good to be true as they tend overprice sessions and provide minimal help towards the student and view them as a money making machine.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Why are you chosing to seek help? Is it for a grade? Do you actually care? Once one finds why they seek help from a 3rd party it is easier to focus on that goal and be true to yourself.

20 dollars an hour. However I am willing to go lower depending on the subject. I do not want to overprice my tutoring as I believe education should be as accessable as possible.
