About Skyler
I help students struggling with computer science principles. I am a junior in college, but I love computers and everything related to them. I have worked with robotics, drones, 3d printing, raspberry pi, game development, software development, web development, data structures, advanced algorithms, and computational theory.
I decided to start tutoring because I believe that studying and learning computer science can be very difficult and stressful, but the world needs more people for these positions every day. I want to help those that struggle so they won't give up, and get an opportunity to succeed at computer science.
I have coached several younger wrestlers and believe that gives me a firm understanding of the learning process. I also have experience tutoring younger kids, but not as employment.

Usually I like to ask questions to understand what the student is struggling with and help the student understand what they are struggling with. In general, I prefer to guide students to the correct answer as opposed to giving it to them, so they can better learn from their own mistakes. I believe the 2 keys to learning are making mistakes and finding solutions.
Make sure you can understand the teacher clearly, and the teacher will ask you to question your own understanding. Otherwise, thaw experience will be useless. I aim to be a useful teacher, that asks the students questions to get them thinking about the important topics.

Details
I haven't tutored before, but I believe my work and knowledge to be worth $20/hr. That said, if I see a student is really struggling or excelling in an area, I'm willing to adjust my own pace to make sure I'm giving the most value to my customers.
