About Lyndsay
I love food and all of the parts that go into it- growing, cooking, eating, how it affects your body and how it affects the world. I love teaching people how to cook and how to best eat for themselves and their families.
Rather than focusing on calories and nutrients alone, my training allows me to help you achieve your goals through real, sustainable, "whole being" health.
While what you eat is an important part of your health, it's not the only important part! We look at all of the aspects of your health and how we can create your best life.
I also recognize that there is no one perfect diet for everyone. We need to find a way of eating that works for your body and your life. Then we create a plan that supports your ability to actually do it and the lessons to equip you for this new lifestyle. This can include cooking lessons, grocery shopping skills, finding supplements, meal planning and more.

I get so excited when we start seeing results and clients realize that these changes aren't hard or complicated but that they do work!
My undergrad was a BS in Health and Wellness with a focus in Nutrition. Then came culinary school with an AA in Culinary Arts and training in integrative nutrition coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I just capped it off with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health with a focus in Community Health Education along with a certificate in Herbal Studies.
Apparently I like school! But it means I bring a lot of training and education to back up my passion and to get you connected with the best!

It all starts with a 45 minute session where we get to know each other a bit, we do a little paperwork (just a couple pages!) that cover your health history and goals. Then we create a plan for the best ways for us to start working together and go from there!

Details
The initial appointment is $45 for us to get started.
From there it is $95 per session and sessions are about an hour. Whether we decide to do traditional coaching, walk through your grocery store and talk about swaps and better choices, cooking lessons to improve your skills, or whatever else we decide makes sense. I also offer double sessions for $175 where we go straight from shopping to cooking, meal planning to shopping or a different combination to really get you going.
