I have been a "groupie" of Johns for several years now. He without question makes the best Tuscan food that I have ever tasted. I especially like his chicken soup, manicotti and lasagna. He cooked for my book club and the ladies raved about everything. Can not say enough. Would highly recommend him for small or large parties.

June of 2012, we hosted the 2nd annual family reunion on my Mother's side at our home in Bethel Park. Since the Valentino's, Picciano's, Tronzo's and Romanelli's were attending, we thought it appropriate to have an Italian Cusine for the arrival evening.

Rather than having a caterer bring prepared food or cooking myself, we called upon John Defazio, "The Traveling Italian Chef" to do his magic! We are friends with John and have had many opportunities to experience his unique flavor of cooking.

John arrived about 8:30 AM, with all the tools, pots and finest ingredients needed to prepare sauce, manicotti, stuffed banana peppers and mozzarella stuffed meatballs.

The guests arrived and assembled and socialized in our backyard pool and bar area. Soon the aroma brought all of the guests up to the kitchen where they met and mingled with John as he told stories of his travels to his family home in Italy, all to the music of Sinatra, Pavarotti and Dean Martin. My guests were entertained and delighted to exchange their experiences of Italy with John.

This was a wonderful experience for us and our family. John's knowledge and skill of authentic Tuscan cooking was enjoyed immensely by all. We are looking forward to entertaining this experience again.
