About Cindy

I have over 40 years of teaching experience and countless hours of actual dance classes myself. I have been in the dance business my entire life and I am well connected within the community I live and teach in. I dance with my students I don't just sit in a chair and tell them what they need to do I actually dance the steps with them and show them what it should look like. Many instructors show once and then teach from the sidelines I don't I think children learn from seeing and doing.

I love working with children. I enjoy watching them when the finally get the step or that trick they have been working on for a few weeks. When their faces light up and they can't wait to show their parents.

All I have ever wanted to do is dance. I have always loved children I started teaching as a young teenager in my neighborhood.

I have been dancing since I was 3 yrs old. I have traveled to classes in and out of the state to keep my training fresh. I attend conventions as well as intensives.

About the lesson

I have them come into a class that is around their age and see what they are comfortable with then we place them from there into a class that fits their level of experience and age. I don't push them to do more than I feel they are ready for but I don't just let them work on what they already have down.

I work with students from as early as 2.5 years old all they way to 18. Some that love to dance and can't get in the studio enough to students that just like it for recreational purposes.

Look for a teacher that doesn't instruct from a chair, if a teacher is sitting in a chair yelling/shouting commands but not getting up to show you corrections or dacning with you then don't waste your time or money. Dance teachers should have a passion for 2 things dancing and children. Also if a dance instructor doesn't have toddler classes then you should look else where for he or she doesn't feel they need to start at the beginning and work with kids starting they want kids that are already trained to some level.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What they want to do with their dance, do they want to dance for fun and just attend their class once a week and move on or are they interested in learning the art as well as the fun of dance.

Details

I do have a standard pricing system. Classes start at $45.00 per month for my standard classes. My competition teams the prices start at $50.00 per month and go up depending on how many competition dances you are part of.
