About Studio
Award-winning, adults-only, cabaret and burlesque dance instruction with a foundation built on empowerment and elevating body confidence. Studio VaVaVoom, established in 2008, is a safe space for all genders, all shapes, sizes, and all ages 18+. We also produce award-wnning cabaret shows, VaVaVoom Productions (formerly Romantasy Cabaret.), for our students to show off what they learn in classes.
What we love most about our studio and classes, is watching our students open up, blossom and gain confidence. Our beginner adult classes are great confidence and skill builders. In addition to burlesque classes, we offer jazz, tap and belly dance, all suitable for adult beginners. The classes we offer aren't just about tease and glitter; it's a personal journey and each individual's experience is what they choose to make of it. Take classes to do a saucy dance for your lover, to perform on stage or simply to gain back your VaVaVoom!
After working in a musical theatre conservatory in NYC for many years, I decided to use my skills to help others build their confidence.
The owner June has been a theatre professional for over 30 years and has worked with many broadway performers. She brings a unique perspective to burlesque production.
Collectively, our teachers have excellent resumes, and a passion for teaching others.

Each session is 7 weeks long, one hour per week. New students should register via our website, for Level One Moves, regardless of dance background. If a student is deemed too advanced, we will place them accordingly. The stylized movements are unique to VaVaVoom so even experienced dancers will find this style unique and challenging, however, our level one classes are geared toward adult beginners.
We also offer adult tap, jazz and bellydance classes. Any student can resgister for any of these classes with no prior dance training.
All shapes and sizes, men and women, adults-only, all gender identities, and all races/backgrounds. Studio VaVaVoom is a SAFE SPACE with a foundation built on Body Positivity.
We are LGBTQ+ welcoming and affirming.

Details
We charge based on 7 week sessions, one hour per week. The one session fee is $105, with discounts given for "double dipping" and taking more than one class per week. Preregistration is required and must be done via our website.
We offer drop in friendly Jazz, tap and belly dance classes for $15 each. Preregistration is required for those as well.
We also offer private lessons ranging in price, depending on the needs of the student.
