About Devi Anne
Devi Anne Moore is a professional artist; she also teaches children and adults how to make art. Her own art is expansive, covering all sorts of media, from pastels to oils, and subjects, from Biblical representations to portraits. Her work is powerful, poignant, expansive, meticulous, and beautiful. As a teacher, Devi shows her students how to "see" the world afresh and to use a diverse array of colors, textures, and media. She does not teach simple crafts; she teaches deep, fine art, and her students are grateful for her instruction and astonished at the work they produce.
I learned to teach after realizing how bad most art teachers were in art school. I wanted a clear and safe studio time to allow those with a desire to come and learn.

Each person works on their own projects and I advise and challenge them as they develope. They call me the Art Whisperer since I hep them address self talk and frustrations in being creative in a sensitive safe atmosphere to want to make art.
ages 7 to 99. I have also taught those with learning issues who have a strong love for art.
Find a good fit with someone who does a higher quality of art than you so you can be challenged. But don't worry about talent --desire is the key and hard work. Stick with it long enough to get beyond fears and objections. Love the process of doing art and set goals.
I still learn and travel to Studio Incamminati to study several times a year to improve my own art skills. I also bring these artists locally to do workshops once or twice a year.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself what artists work just gets you thrilled and what art do you want to hang on your own walls. They become your daily encouragement and demonstrate your progress. Don't invite others to see you art at first unless they are safe to share. Praise and critics comments can deter your progress. Do it first for yourself.

My son is finishing up his third year of classes with Miss Devi. She has been an exceptional teacher, introducing him to a variety of styles and techniques. She also has the patience of a saint!
