About Tailor

My formal training, degree and business experience have given me a broard perspective around art. I have confidence in facilitating a well rounded curriculum for any age and any experience level. My goal is to provide a fun, enjoyable and custom lesson for the customer so that they will continue to pursue art and partake in further creative endevours.

Art and thinking creatively keeps me alive! I enjoy making color, form and message within art shine out from its core. Using mixed media to explore styles in art intrigues me. Creating within the art community and sharing skills for the betterment of my community is a critical art form in itself and I strive to see that growth around me for the rest of my life.

I started teaching in high school and really never stopped. I enjoy ellaborating on interesting subjects and learning along with my students. Teaching allows conversation to grow around the things your most passionate about.

I currently have a Bachelors of Fine Art in Mixed Media painting and Humanities. I'm also working to achieve my MFA within the next two years. I have many years experience teaching and owning a local painting business that was revolved around teaching the break down of acrylic panting. My art expands to sculpture and design. I sell jewelry in a local shop and can teach some basic jewelry tecniques.

About the lesson

Easy, contact me with your interests and current skill set and I'll do my best to form fit your lesson appropriately.

We can then meet at the desired location ( I have supplies that I can travel with) and gets started.

Typially an hour to 2 hours works. I can work with you longer for certain occasions.

I work with all ages and skill sets.

Choose someone that has an obvious passion for the arts. Those will be the best teachers because they can't live without art. Also, teachers with a broad knowledge of a few mediums could help expand your horizons and artistic abilities.

I vended for The Kindred Folk Art Festival which is a local art festival in Truckee CA and then proceeded to live paint for the organization to raise money for their charity.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should try and understand how deeply they want to commit to a certain medium because art takes practice and persevearance.
