About Dominique

Art is fun for everyone and there is no wrong way to create art. I have been teaching art for nearly ten years now, and I wouldn't choose to do anything else. I love my work! I teach all capable ages (typically ages 5 and up) but there have been special cases of capable and talented 3 and 4 year olds once in awhile. Students of mine have gone on to be professional illustrators, portrait artists, and one talented woman now has her very own anime styled graphic novel and a meeting with a publisher. I truly love what I do and I know I can help you or your child reach their art goals. I do class by class, or full courses with grades and certificates. The choice is yours. My Studio also takes on the fun and playful side of art. Birthday parties, bachelorette parties, wine and canvas or sip and play. . . We do them all and it's never a dull moment!

It's been my passion in life since I was in Kindergarten. Some people wonder what they want to be when they grow up, but not me. I came home from kindergarten every afternoon, sat down my baby sister and all our dolls and stuffed animals, and I taught them everything I learned in school that day.

I have an extensive background in teaching (all grades, across several states in the u.s., and in many kinds of environments) it's what I've always done. I've taught in daycares, preschool, elementary, middle, and high school. I've taught adults at the college level, and I've been the one to help future collge students build up their portfolios.

About the lesson

For professional lessons: a 1 hour interview to assess your skills, your tools, your time, and your dedication level. Everyone is different and that's a good thing! It's a $15 consultation where we meet up, you can bring as much old work as you care to share (this helps me see where you are and where you want to go with your art).
