About Kathy
Kaleidoscopic Visions is an online gallery of art and literature. The business features artworks from several artists; Kathy A. Wittman, owner of Kaleidoscopic Visions, offers commissions for specific artworks in a variety of mediums and subjects.
Ms. Wittman is a retired college teacher; she previously taught classes in Education, English, and Psychology. She has four academic degrees: a Bachelor's degree in English (University of Tennessee); a Master's degree in Educational Psychology (University of Tennessee); a Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology (University of Wyoming); and an Associate degree in Art (Laramie County Community College). She is graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Art (University of Wyoming) in December of 2019.
Ms. Wittman has been focusing on developing her potential as an artist and writer since her retirement as a college teacher in 2007; she lives in Wheatland, Wyoming, and is active in the Platte County Art Guild. She previously served as Superintendent for the Fine Arts Show at the Platte County Fair, and she has won numerous ribbons for her artworks at both the Platte County Fair and the Wyoming State Fair.
Ms. Wittman has knowledge and expertise in her role as a teacher, which will enable her to provide opportunities for her students to achieve their goals as artists and writers. She truly enjoys interacting with her students in positive ways to enhance their creative potentials.
I got certified as a public school teacher in 1977; I worked as a substitute teacher and was assigned short-term teaching posts, as well. In 1988, after completing my doctoral degree in Educational Foundations, I worked as a college teacher; I taughter various classes over the next twenty years in the subjects areas of Education, English, and Psychology. Now, after completing my Art degrees, I plan to teach art and writing lessons online to students who desire to enhance their creative potentials as artists and writers.
In the past, I was a college teacher, as well as a secondary education teacher in the public schools. My professional training enables me to be successful as a teacher on this website.

I start by trying to become acquainted with my new students through positive interactions with them. I believe that it important to establish effective communication with them to develop trust in order for them to fulfill their creative potential.
As stated, I worked with students at varying grade levels in the public schools: elementary, middle school, and high school. Later I worked with college students at several higher education institutions.
A student who is looking to hire a teacher in my areas of expertise, art and literature, should focus on finding a person that he or she can relate to in positive ways. The teacher should not only be proficient in the subject areas, but also be able to effectively teach the skills related to art and literature to his or her students.
I have enjoyed my role as a student during the past ten years, working toward my Associate degree in Art from Laramie County Community College and my Bachelor degree in Art from the University of Wyoming. I have many positive experiences related to my interactions with my professors and fellow college students, who have been much younger than I am! I have learned a lot from them, and I hope they have learned a lot from me. I also have fond memories of my participation in the Platte County Fair this past year as a Superintendent, and the numerous ribbons that I have won for my artworks since 2016.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should relate positively to their teachers and keep in mind that effective communication skills are necessary when talking to them about their academic needs. It is important to demonstrate honesty and respect in teacher-student relationships.

Details
I generally charge $15.00 per lessons, which equates to a total cost of $150.00 per class. Each lesson includes an assignment, which enables me to provide valuable feedback to each student on his or her artworks or essays, poems, or short stories.
