About Rachel

Hello! I am an elementary school teacher who has been teaching for 14 years. I am Florida certified to teach Kindergarten-6th grade with an ESOL endorsement. I have also tutored students after school over the past 14 years. I look forward to working with your child in reaching their academic achievement over the summer so they can be adequately prepared for the upcoming school year.

I truly enjoy getting to know my students and how they learn best so that I can teach them successfully. Seeing them "blossom" and progress over time is the best gift an educator can ever receive from their students.

I began babysitting at 14 years old, and knew I always wanted to work with children. I then graduated high school and went to college for Elementary Education.

I have a Bachelor in Science degree in Elementary Education. I am also Kindergarten-6th Grade certified with an ESOL Endorsement.

About the lesson

I typically work with elementary students who need to work on their reading and writing skills. I begin by talking to their parents about what their child’s needs are. Once I begin working with the student I give them an age appropriate assessment to determine where they are in their education level and continue working with them from there.

I’ve worked with a multifaceted group of students throughout my 14 year career in education. I’ve worked in private, charter and public education schools.

I have been very fond of my students this year. I honestly can’t remember teaching a class that is so respectful, kind, honest and excited about learning.
