About Simone

I graduated Spring of 2022. I have a degree in Special Education with a certification in General Education. I did my observations in middle and elementary schools, but I did my clinical teaching all in elementary school, grades K-6.

I create lessons based of each studnets needs. It's focused on a "I do, We do, You do" structure. We will first go over our goal and i will provide basic information on said topic. I will then move onto the "I do" portion which is when the student watches how i do/achieve the target goal. Then we move on and do it together. I will provide feedback on what can be improved and what the student excelled on. Lastly will be the "you do" which is monitored independent practice. This is where we still do it together but the studnet take more of the lead.

What I enjoy most is seeing the progress my studnets make. I always strive for the moment when eveything clicks for them and it starts to make sense. I enjoy learning new ways of teaching my students as well as learning directly from them.

I've always wanted to be a teacher since i was a little kid. I'd play pretend teacher with my younger sibling being my student. During my school career I would always volunteer to be the teacher helper or lead a hand with helping my peers with their work. Then when i got to college i knew that teaching was my calling. During the process of accumulating my degree it brought me so much joy seeing my students that once struggled with a topic, understand it so well.

I have a degree in Special education with a certification in general education. My main focus is Early childhood through 6th grade (K-6th grade). I also did all of my clinical teaching in an elementary setting.

About the lesson

We will have an introduction period where i get to know my student. I will then learn the areas they need help with and build mini lessons so I can provide the best quality knowledge and skills to help them improve in that area.

I have worked with studnet that had severe intellectual disabilities to studnets that just need extra support in the general classroom setting.
