About Rebecca

There is something magical about watching a student learn and grow in terms of new ideas. This will not necessarily be a "lightbulb" moment, or a sudden recognition of the correct answer, but will often take the form of gradual growth over longer periods of time. This lengthy process is what I am committed to helping with. My passion is early childhood education, considering all of the learning happening in the first five years of life. I am committed to providing your child with enrichment activities to improve fine and gross motor skills, communication, emotional awareness, and more. My commitment to students in terms of general subjects extends through elementary school as well.

I had a long history of tutoring through high school. More recently, I was a nanny for seven months for five children ranging in age from three to eleven. Before that, I was a therapeutic horseback riding instructor for two years, with most of my students being under seven. These experiences all gave me hands-on chances to plan enriching activities for maximum growth potential. Now, I am a daycare teacher.

First and foremost, we will establish a safe space early on. This is essential in order to reach maximum educational potential during lessons. Then I would like to see what the student's current level is for the subject matter at hand, and what we should focus on. Depending on the age, this can take place through play, academic exercises, and generally observing interactions.
