About Ari

I stick to my education philosophy and make sure everyones needs are met and my students are happy. Below is my education philosophy:

Education is a celebration of both the individual and the community. I focus on the needs of each child, not just the requirements set by our state standards, in order to help empower students to learn about and realize their individual strengths, interests and abilities. The differences between us are what makes our community as a whole strong, rich and vibrant. I teach my students to celebrate diversity and differences, which lead to open mindedness and critical thinking. Following social reconstructionism and progressivism ideologies. My education philosophy will accomplish these goals through five main objectives: to promote critical thinking, to grow our classroom into a community, to foster a positive atmosphere, to create the curriculum around the students, and to be mindful and compassionate, and to root my teaching within social justice.

Every day is different. Not only am I helping my students explore who they are and how they can be the best person they can be, but I always smile, I always laugh, and I always learn.

I have been involved in working with kids since high school where I was a camp counselor, gymnstics coach, and tutor. It was a natural transition fromt there to study and get my bachelors in MC/EA elementary education.

Licenced elementary/middle school teacher. I have worked in the classroom for two years. I am aslo an accomplished community organizer. Founded/led multiple social justice initiatives and have worked with nonprofits, campus organizations and social justice groups. Strengths include creating social justice curriculum, teaching with compassion, social networking, recruiting, leadership development and working in fast paced environments.

Education is a celebration of both the individual and the community. I focus on the needs of each child, not just the requirements set by our state standards, in order to help empower students to learn about and realize their individual strengths, interests and abilities. I will accomplish these goals by astablishing a foundation of trust and then work towards five main objectives: to promote critical thinking, to grow our classroom into a community, to foster a positive atmosphere, to create the curriculum around the students, and to be mindful and compassionate, and to root my teaching within social justice.

I have worked with 2nd-8th grade students of all backgrounds. My expereince has been in culturally diverse area. I also have hands on experience with individuals with disabilities.

Look for someone you get along with and are comfortable around. Someove that fits your "vibe".

COVID has made me stay inside recently, so the latest event I was fond of was the Middle Schools community cook out last year

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
- What they need help with in general.

- What they want out of their teacher.

- What method of learning is best for them.
