About David
I have worked with young students for over ten years. My teaching and tutoring experience is as follows:
- Teaching practical skills, history, and mathematics to children in the age range of 6-12 for the Boy Scouts of America.
- Conducting SAT prep sessions for high school students. I covered both the mathematics and verbal sections. My overall score was 2190/2400.
- Teaching Sunday School and the church youth group for children ages 4-14.
- Tutoring Italian college students in English comprehension while I studied abroad in Venice.
- Tutoring Spanish speaking Colombian children ages 4-8 in basic English during my time abroad in Colombia.
- Teaching adults how to use basic video, sound, and photo editing software.
-Bachelor’s In Music Composition and Vocal Performance from Colgate University.
I have always enjoyed being able to share my accumulated knowledge. Even though much of the information I have learned over the years is no longer relevant to anything I personally have to accomplish, it is fulfilling to be able to pass it onto others who need it more. I am someone who is always learning something new, and it feels very wasteful to learn without sharing. I enjoy the teaching process, and especially enjoy the sense of relief and satisfaction when witnessing the intellectual growth of a student.
