About Emily Renee
I have been tutoring students for around nine years now from Kindergarten all the way up to 12th grade. I am currently enrolled in college studying to be an English teacher. My passion is teaching and I cannot wait to be doing it as my job!!
I enjoy the work I do because I get to watch those I teach truly grow academically. I have had the privilege to watch kids go from hating reading and writing to absolutely loving it and experiencing drastic grade increases. It's such a rewarding experience.
My passion was first ignited in sixth grade when one of my teachers left a great impression on me. This occurred again in eighth grade with another teacher as well. At that point, I wanted to be a science teacher, little did I know chemistry and I would not get along. Despite this, I continued to thrive in my English courses with all of my teachers suggesting highly that I pursue a degree within the field somewhere. So I decided to combine my love for kids and my love for writing and literature!
Through middle and high school I took the most advanced English courses that were available for me (advanced, honors, and advanced placement). I am also currently majoring in English Education.
