About Amanda

I am a certified teacher in grades K-12 and also a certified Reading Specialist. I work one on one with students, providing all materials including books, activities, and journals needed. I specialize in English instruction for non-English speakers, as well as helping struggling readers reach their full potential by teaching specific reading comprehension and decoding strategies!

I LOVE working with my students and seeing their growth through each session! I’ve been fortunate enough to work in Montgomery County Public Schools in high needs areas for 8 years. I truly love what I do and make learning fun and engaging for all students based on their interests. I have experience teaching Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade.

About the lesson

I have worked with students of all ability levels. Students who are new to the country and need English instruction, students who have some English background, students who speak English but are struggling with comprehension or fluency, as well as students who are above grade level and need enrichment.
