About Michael

I love to have a spirited discussion full of laughs, while you learn English. English has always been one of the most dificult languages to learn but WE will lean it. I prefer to use fun instead of scare. There is no pressure because pressure does not equal love. Love what you learn and it becomes easier. Love what you teach and your students learn.

I studied The Queens English in Trinidad and Tobago before coming to America. Over the next 45 years I have married the two languages. I have taught classes from Medical Terminology to Computer Terminology. My linkedin profile:

i love my students smile and confidence when we are done. I take great pride in my ability in teaching. If my student does not do well, I feel like I have failed them. Thus, we must work smarter as well as harder.Yes, I said WE, teacher and student.

I first started teaching in the hospital. I was incharge of teaching patients proper breathing techniques. I was able to transition into teaching Doctors and Nurses about medical practices. I became proficient in Microsoft Office user Suites and was later hired to teach classes in a local college.

I was originally taught English in the British West Indies. I migrated to America, attended Catholic school taught by Benedictine Monks. I started teaching in 1997 and fell in love with it. I have taught everything from Children's ABC's to Medical classes and Computer classes.

About the lesson

I like to introduce myself usually with a big real not fake smile. Then dive into what the student is looking for. I want my student to know that I love to teach and ease their mind about learning.

I have worked with students age 10 to 90. I have taught chldren, medical students, computer students and the elderly.

If you want to learn English then have a conversation with me. I am very patient but I will hold you accountable to high standards. We will have fun and conquor the mountain of education together.

A few years ago I had a student ( with ADHD) that wanted to become a Pharmacy Technician. She had failed several times and was very frustraited. We took a more fun approach and within 7 months she passed her exam and got a job. She still calls me to tell me of her progress.
