About Trigg

My business stands out from the pack, because I dedicate myself to going a step beyond for my clients. Learning is not simply rote memorization, but a way of life. As your tutor, I hope to initiate you into this way of life. My hope is that through my guidance my students will gain a life long love of learning.

Learning is a way of life. To teach is to embark upon a quest to transmit this way of life to others. When we learn, we learn how to process the unknown aspects of life; we begin to understand how to deal with the storms that life throughs our way. Whenever I see my students acquire a love of learning, despite whatever obstacles they may have faced, it is hard not to feel a sense of pride and joy. Teaching can be simply defined as passing along to others a way of life: learning. When I am successful in this quest, it is hard not to be overwhelmed with a sense of purpose and meaning.

I have extensive experience teaching.

I have a Graduate degree in Education.

I have wide exposure to the Humanities and to Social Studies courses.

About the lesson

The first thing a teacher must do is to get to know the wants, desires, and interest of his student. Learning must be built upon trust. It is the objective of the teacher to gain the trust and the confidence of his student. Great ways of doing this are: being positive and high energy, not quitting, and being resilient.

I have worked with students from a variety of backgrounds, ability level, interest set, and age range.

The age range that I do best with ranges from the 7th grade to the 12th grade. I can tutor younger children, but prefer secondary students.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Always be honest with a teacher and upfront with a teacher. Not all teachers are perfect, but the way in which you engage with a teacher will help prepare you for the real world as an adult. It is important to remember that teachers are people too. They have gone through struggles and have problems, so telling a teacher that you are having a problem with this aspect of learning or this aspect of a class should never done with shame.

Never be afraid of making mistakes, you won't learn if you are too afraid of doing poorly.
