About Tamela

I am a 21 year veteran teacher. I currently teach with Douglas County Schools. I have experience teaching language arts and social studies. I love children and I love teaching. I like tutoring in English, grammar, spelling, reading strategies, and writing. I want to help your students achieve their highest potential. I am here to help!

I have always wanted to be a teacher. I started teaching in Maryland back in 2002.

I have a bachelors degree in middle grades education. I have a masters degree in post secondary education and a specialist degree in educational leadership. I also have a gifted endorsement. I have taught middle school social studies, language arts and writing for 18 years.

About the lesson

I like to get an inventory to assess areas of weakness so that we know where to start. I like to get to know my students.

I have worked with all types of students, from general education students to special needs and also gifted students.

Perfect! Mrs. Dixon is very passionate in what she do! She been working with my son for a couple of months now and I see a huge improvement in his reading.
