About Catherine

As far as languages, I was raised bilingual in French and Italian because my mom was French and I lived in Italy. By age 19, I had become fluent in English, Spanish and German too, as I graduated with a Bachelor in languages. Later on I moved to the US, and as I pursued a business degree, I chose to take four years of Russian to honor my dad’s origins and heritage, and further understand the grammar behind this lovely yet so complicated language. So, it was only a matter of time before I became a freelancer in the writing and translation world. This was to be my true calling and very own contribution!

“Each of us is a unique strand in the intricate web of life and here to make our own contribution." Deepak Chopra

I truly enjoy meeting new students and working with them to achieve their goals and see them succeed!

I was a language instructor at Berlitz Language Center for several months in Indianapolis.

I have a bachelors in languages and I'm also a native speaker in both French and Italian.

About the lesson

Normally, I will assess the student needs and discuss their goals. Then draft a plan of work that is suitable given their timeline and goals.

I've worked with young students and adults who needed to learn a language rather quickly for business trips overseas.

It's important to work with a teacher you find you have a good connection with. Languages are about opening up and trusting one another so having that initial connection is important.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Well that depends on their overall goals. A student may need to follow a certain school curriculum and revisit grammar and or phonetics; another student, as in most adult students, may want to learn the language for practical reasons and so the needs and lessons would definitely be different.
