About Jaclyn
I will be with you in your educational journey. I will support you along the way no matter what your acamdemic level is.
I started by working at a local elementary school.
I have worked in an elementary school for 5+ years educating students. I still currently work in an elementary setting. I am also in the process of earning my Master of Arts in Teaching degree and have 5+ years of experience leading elementary classrooms and experience with students who have a wide range of special needs.

I will let the student tell me what we are working with and then find a unique way to help them with their specific needs. It is impossible for someone to get educational aid if their tutor doesn't know how they learn because everyone learns differently.
I have worked with a diverse range of students. I have worked with students both above and below their typical "level" of learning. I have also worked with students who have IEPs and other special learning or physical needs.
Make sure you are willing to get things wrong. It is ok to be wrong. Being wrong means you have the opportunity to learn something new. It is my job to help you learn that new concept, whatever it may be.
I am fond of tutoring a student in math and as the assignment went on, they started to get more and more confident. This particular student hated math and felt they weren't good at it. By the end of the assignment, I saw the concepts click in the way the student was responding to the material.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should ask questions that frustrate them so I can help them not be frustrated anymore. Often, students don't like a particular subject because the material frustrates them. If you can figure out why it frustrates you, or why it is difficult to understand, bring that up with me and we can work through that first.
