About Jennifer

After earning my Post Bachelor's Certification, I realized that I enjoyed teaching more than sitting in a law office. I decided to enroll in the transition-to-teaching program to become a teacher. When I realized that I needed to earn money instead of finishing the student teaching program, I began working as a substitute. After a couple years, I discovered teaching ESL online.

I have earned my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Human Resource Management Post-Bachelor Certification In addition, I also have 5 years of experience in tutoring, college experience in Elementary Education, including field studies, and some student teaching experience. Since I have earned a 120-Credit Hour TEFL Certification as well as a 40-Hour TESOL Certification. I have been teaching ESL classes online since 2017.

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student is to determine what their learning goals are. I design lessons based on the student's learning needs. I make these lessons flexible and alter them in accordance with the learning style that the student displays in the classroom.

I've worked with students of all ages. I've worked with 5-11-year-old ESL students. I have also worked many years with elementary students and a couple of years with middle school students. As an alumni myself, I have also worked with many college students.

Find a teacher that is willing to listen to your academic needs as well as your learning needs and design a lesson plan that is in alignment with those needs.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should make a list of what their personal learning goals are and let the teacher know. Let them know what you do and don't like about what you are struggling with. Let them know what is difficult for you and what you need to work on.
